When I visited my aunt last week, she asked me to help her select some antique wooden cupboards that she had seen on ebay. We ended up selecting a mirrored antique cupboard which was made of teak-wood; however, we were not sure if the material used was really teak-wood. So, we decided to do the payment by paypal through ebay protection policy where we could return the goods in seven days; if we did not like the product. We received the shipment after a couple of weeks and I was there to check the quality of the delivered product as I had read a few reviews about ebay fake products. The first thing that I checked was, whether there was any certificate stating that the wood used was teak but to my surprise there was none. This was where our doubts began to grow and on further checking we realized that the cupboard was not made of teak. We immediately asked it to be taken back to the seller and since we had used paypal, we stopped the payment to the seller. This experience made us realize that buying on line can be risky but you can select a mode of payment where the seller is paid only after you are satisfied by the product.
